Sometimes I forget I have a blog anymore.
LAME.
So, this is me saying HI....
This pic was taken in my long-haired days, back in March for a senior project of a cousin? (I think) of my friend. She did some photo project that showed that moms can still be beautiful. It was a last minute-thrown-together-ish thing, but I thought it was fun to have a pic of myself. I don't get them very often as I am usually the one behind the camera.
THE END.

Tue Pose a Question
Notice anything interesting and weird in these pictures?
Yes, I know Ella's face is the classic Christmas-morning-look-of wonder (click on it and make it big for the full effect), but that's not what I'm after.
Yes, Rohan and Mac love their new scooters and they are the most adorable snowman-pajama-laden boys ever to walk the earth, but that's not what I want you to notice either.
I know... Ella is loving her new stroller and her doll and she is a total girly girl with her purple snowman PJs, but keep looking...
Pure cuteness, but keep looking...
That crown, or halo, or whatever it is! That's gotta be it, right? (She wore that all the live-long day and looked so stinkin' adorable) No... she's cute as pie, but keep looking for something...
Wow! What a lucky guy! His very own MP3 player!! His wife must love him a lot to get him the very thing she wanted for herself!!! Keep noticing...
Cute, cute, cute...
Ella's face is classic, yet again, but what else do you notice?
Mac is growing up, I know, I know... but I want to see if you notice something else!?
We already covered that he's growing... I know he looks like such a young man, but have you noticed a consistent theme yet?
Girly-girl and halo/crown... what a character. Keep looking for it!
Oh, look! My brother! He would never have been so excited to get a set of sheets before he moved out of my parents house. But then he realized he can't just take everything with him that he wants because it's really my mom's... but now... look at the thrill of Egyptian Cotton!

My cute mom and her total surprise of a new sewing machine... something she would never buy for herself but her sneaky daughter notes every word that comes out of her mouth and found a deal on Black Friday...
That's the end. Did you notice? No, I'm not wondering if you noticed that we had a wonderful Christmas. Nor am I wondering if you noticed my kids are freakin' adorable. Did you notice who was missing from every single picture? Do you think that my children will wonder, as they look at pictures that document such events as this, if they had a mother? I tend to be the one who takes pictures, if they get taken at all. My face is, therefore, absent from most of the pictures in our lives. I know I am not alone in this phenomenon. I've heard other mother's blog about the same thing.
I just want my children to know that they, indeed, have a mother. Even though their mother is absent from Christmas morning pictures, she was sure to document her incredibly awesome bed-head a few days after Christmas! The one two days earlier was better, but the camera was full of Christmas carols and by the time I uploaded them, the hair had returned to a more normal state.

6th
I'm it. Got tagged by the adorable MERRIANNE! I don't know if it's because it's October 6th, but this tag says go to your picture folder on your computer, go to the 6th folder, and then find the 6th picture and post it on your blog! This is a little scary and I'm a little bit tempted to cheat, but I won't. Here goes....

Wow. That pretty much sucks. This was a picture that my mom took when we drove to Arizona in June. Dustin asked us to take pictures of the terrain on the way down as he's never been to Arizona. This was somewhere past Flagstaff. Thrilling, is it not?
Lucky for all of you, I happen to have two"My Pictures" files... one from pre-computer-hard-drive-dump and from one post-computer-hard-drive-dump. The above pic happens to be post-drive-dump. (I was going to say post-dump, but that just sounds bad!) Anyway, I thought I'd see what I came up with in the other "My Pictures" file.... and *yikes* here it is!

I shouldn't told you I have two "My Pictures" folders, huh. Should have stuck with the boring window shot. This is a pic that my older brother, Zandy, took of Lacy, Taylor and I Christmas 2004. He emailed it to us after and titled it "Scary Siblings". Someday, if you ask nicely, I might show you what I did with this picture in Photoshop. *shudder*
SO....
that was a fun easy tag. Thanks, Merrianne! I am guessing I need to tag six people? That's what I'll do. I tag Kristin, Micci, Jen, Britta, Leah, and Beth at the Burn Unit! And Kaci... even though that's seven. Ready, set, GO!

Image Tag
Britta (BBC!!!) has tagged me. I am instructed to go onto Google Images and find an image suitable for my response to each question. I laughed and laughed at Britta's responses. If you don't read her blog, you should go there RIGHT NOW and read her image tag post! LOL!

Past loves: I don't know if this is what they were looking for when they said "past loves", but the term "old flame" came to mind! These are two of my old boyfriends, and I loved them once upon a time. (and YES, I found these pictures on Google Images. LOL!)
My first name: Clancy. This is the Clancy Cottage at the Hallflat Farm Cottages in Wasdale, England. I've never been... just found it on the images. I want to go now. Doesn't it look magical. You should see the inside of the cottage... so charming.
Your middle name: Leigh. I don't know who Brennan Leigh is, but she plays the guitar and sings and that's just what I want to do! (I don't want an album like she has, but I just want to not suck at guitar like I currently do!)
Your last name: My husband has asked that I not put our last name on my blog, and I would love nothing more than to honor him and his request. Just know that this is the image I found when I plugged it in and I picked it because I have been running *except for the last week with my severe cold* and I plan to run a 5K this fall.

What are you doing right now? Making sure my chair leg doesn't fall into the gaping hole in my floor. AKA plumbing in our basement... busted out LOTS of concrete so we can move every piece of plumbing in my house (We're not moving the location of the sinks or toilets upstairs, but we are changing the way they hook up to the main sewer). My own pictures forthcoming.... (and they're WAY cooler than that one!)
How old are you? Thirty, baby! Last Wednesday, thank you very much! Britta said she was stuck at eighteen forever. If we're talking about ages that we are "stuck" at, then I'm twenty-eight. I don't know why, but that's how I think of myself.

My favorite treat: Hmmm... this is a brand new favorite that I've only tried once, but I was pretty sure I'd died and gone to heaven when I tried it, and I've been craving them every since... Ferrero Raffaello. (you know... the makers of Ferrero Rocher ball treats that you get at Christmas?) These are little coconut covered spheres... the coconut gives way to a mild, crisp wheat wafer shell and a milky flavored cream inside with a very smooth texture. In the very center is an almond. AHHHHH!!! I think my Aunt got them at RightAid... do you think they're open at 10:00 pm?

Place I would like to travel: I am torn between MANY places on this one, but right now it's a toss up between Venice and Greece. I think I could hit them both in the same trip, right? They're not TOO far apart? Anyway... that's the deal. I can't decide so I chooseboth!
Your favorite color: Definitely blue. Not just any blue... the blue of my Larimar necklace that Dustin bought me in Maui. It's very similar to this pic, but I think mine is prettier! :) (and just a little random fact: They have found Larimar in only 1 square km in the world.)

Your home town: I guess they mean the place I grew up? That would be Salt Lake City, Utah. I always loved this statue that is across the street from the temple by the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. It is so joyful. (that pic would be in Salt Lake, obviously)
Your favorite vacation spot: I haven't gone on a lot of "vacations" but it's a toss up right now between Maui and Lake Powell.

Your favorite food: I've gotta go with Sushi. Sorry Britt... I love the stuff. It was torture to find a picture of it because it made me want to have some RIGHT NOW, but I don't think many sushi places are open at 10:39 pm. And FYI, Maui had the BEST sushi EVER!!! (makes sense with the ocean right there and all...)
Your favorite animal: I'm pretty sure you're surprised that I have a new favorite animal. Yep... Squirrel. And it's not just any squirrel, but MY squirrel. I am excited for him to get big! (and a little nervous... but we'll take it as it comes!) He's worked his way into our family's hearts. I wub him.
DANG! That was a long post! I worked on it over the course of 24 hours. Took FOREV, but it was very fun. The hardest part for me was thinking of what my favorite treat was. Weird.
So... I tag Carmy, Rachel, Brecca (private), Teri and
Ginny (private).

My Originals
Remember my art post? Where I told you how much I love my original artwork purchases? Remember how I said I'd post pictures? Yep. So did I. I actually remembered to do something I said I would do on my blog. So... here they are. I should've waited til there was sunlight to take the pics. But if I waited to remember during the day, I might've never remembered! :) So, here they are.
My little Ella's portrait by John P. Hart. (I had to take it from an angle so the flash wouldn't glare on the glass.) Isn't she cute! So serious.
OK, the photographer sucked for this picture of the Reams Mansion, but it gives you the idea.
And here is my most recent acquisition... The Owl, by John P. Hart. Lovely, isn't it???
Of course, these pictures don't do any of them justice, but they give you the idea.

More on My Siblings
So, I was looking at that picture at the bottom of my last jar post. You know, the one of me and my siblings? I decided it doesn't do these beautiful people justice. I came to the conclusion that I needed to devote another post entirely to their cute faces. What cuter picture than senior portraits! None of these are recent, but they are very nice pictures! So enjoy taking a closer look at my gorgeous siblings! :)
Apparently I was still Lacy's personal assistant. I picked her outfit for these pics and that was my sweater she's wearing! :) (don't ask me why she has a grouping of four. We all had a total of 8 pictures, but my mom scanned all these in and she, apparently made Lacy a little collage!)
Dang, he's a cute little snot! I just love that kid! (ok, he's almost 24, but he's still a kid to me!) You should see the rest of his 8 pictures. He looks like a model.
And, while we're looking at senior pics, here's mine too... just so you don't feel like I'm trying to exclude myself from this blast from the past...
