*self-appointed position because Dustin likes to think he's a spider
Isn't it lovely? Seven strands of rainbow wonderfulness. And notice the tree-skirt that I made last year? Yes, I'm asking for praise and recognition. Shameless...

In my quest for light subject matter, I came across the following quote. It doesn't say light in it, but it feels like light to me. I like to think of myself as trying to live my life like this, for the most part:
Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine.
~Anthony J. D'Angelo
And this has nothing, whatsoever, to do with light, but here it is anyway. My first apple pie. My vent holes got a little... ok... a lot retarded because I forgot the butter and had to shove it into the pie after it had already been baking for five or ten minutes. :)
Say 'yes' to randomness!
Be sure to visit Mo for more Manic Monday fun!

Sunuva?! ROFL! Pants, you always kill me! Between that and 'wonderfulness', I was smiling ear to ear! Beautiful tree, skirt is so significant and the pie looks yummy! Happy MM, friend!
You are one of my brightest lights!!!
Your pie looks delicious. Wanna know what...I ALWAYS forget to dot it with butter. I've made apple pie a few times and I know that I forgot it last time, so I'm going to remember it...and then...IDK...did you serve that at your Thanksgiving?
I have 7 or 8 strings too...it drives me nuts how long they take! It looks totally beautimous!
i LOOOVE that tree!!!!!!!!! it is beautiful! i can smell the pine!!!!!!!
and that pie looks delicious!! i love how you wrote APPLE with the DOUGH!!!!! i love it!
and you are NOT RETARDED! ha ha
Beautiful job on the lights! I think that a lot of lights make a tree look wonderful. I am also picky. Hubby just sits back and lets me do all the work. *LOL*
The apple pie is amazing! I love the little apple stencil on the inside. Nice job.
Happy Manic Monday ~ My Lights
Beautiful tree skirt! :)
I love your quote. It's so true that we can bring our own sunshine. I've known people who are so happy that it's contagious. I guess that's something to work toward.
Nice pie! I made my first fresh fruit pie last June. It was not that lovely, but it tasted fabulous (and that's what REALLY counts). I'll post my pic on my blog just for you!
Your tree looks lovely, and the pie looks delicious!! Happy Monday!
I love your pie!! I don't make apple pie very often (once a year as a treat for my hubby when the neighbors donate extra apples from their tree! LOL) because I find them A LOT of work, AND, no matter how much I pinch the crusts together, I always end up with apple ooze in the bottom of my stove and it's just a messy business imo... LOL
Your tree looks fantastic! I self-appoint myself to hang lights and ornaments as well. In fact, I even bought the kids their own little tree so they can do what they will to THAT and leave "mine" alone. I'm a picky sunuva too...LOL
you should post a separate pic of the tree skirt so we can ooh and ahh properly...
love the tree...love love that you made your own tree skirt...love that you wrote apple on the pie (as if to remove any confusion as to what the partakers were eating!)
forcast?? sunny!!! you are a light!
The pie looks delicious which means no will be lighter once they have eaten it. You did a beautiful job on the tree, and a joyful heart makes all trips lighter.
I like the lights, but I love the pie!
Seriously lady, you crack me up! LOVED the pie. And your tree and skirt are very pretty. Way to go non spider woman.
Very purty tree Clanc! And yummy retarded looking pie. LOL! => Bet it was delish.
Your tree looks awesome and "sunuva" is a GREAT word!
Your tree is gorgeous! Wow, you do a great job on the lights AND the tree skirt and I'm sure the pie was delicious too!
You know Clancy, if you didn't look so much like your mom, I would think that you could be a long lost twin. I have the self appointed job of putting lights on too. I'm retarded like that. :) It looks BEAUTIFUL!!!
An excellent job on the tree and the skirt! Never let it be said that I did not respond to a shameless plug.
HA!
