Ella Says the Darndest Things, Episode 3

My Ella is the sweetest, cutest thing. I so love her.

Ella loves to sing. (I wonder where she got that from?) Last school year (Kindergarten) she learned the song "I've Been Working on the Railroad". She and Rohan have been singing this song into our big box fan making their voices wobble. Actually it's EXTRA wobbly because last night the fan fell and broke a blade off which makes it uneven in it's "beat". Anyway, back on track...

We all know the words to this song...

I've been workin' on the railroad all the live long day.
I've been workin' on the railroad just to pass the time away...

Then it goes off into the part about Dinah blowing her horn and Ella sings the following part like this:

Someone's in the kitchen with Dinah.
Someone's in the kitchen I knoooowww-
Someone's in the kitchen with Diiiinaaahhhhh
Strummin' on the Ole' Man Joe.

Just in case anyone doesn't know the real words, it's "strummin' on the ole' banjo.

She just plain cracks me up!

Ella Says the Darndest Things, Episode 2

Episode 2 on my blog, that is. She says funny things all the time, but I had to run, not walk, so I could blog about this one.

I'm washing dishes. The rest of the family is playing outside. Ella comes in holding her eye and says excitedly, "We're sleeping outside tonight!" as she walks through the kitchen.

"Cool!" I respond.

She's already out of the kitchen. She is gone for a couple minutes and walks back into the kitchen holding her eye shut with her fingers so I can see her eyelid.

"Mom, look. I got a little scratch on my eye-pod."

I stifle a laugh and respond, "I'm so sorry honey! Where did you say you got scratched?"

She's a little impatient with my question as she is clearly showing me by holding her eye shut. She irritably responds, "On my eye-pod, Mom! And it hurts!"

I just had to hear her say it again... I love that kid.

Oh and the image was even better because of her outfit that she's had on for the last couple hours...

Do you love the leopard print stockings?

And that's Mac and Rohan too... standing in front of our tent that they and their Dad are going to sleep in tonight! Needless to say, the kids are bouncing off the walls with excitement.

How Bad Do YOU Want the Cheese?

I have to say that this is one of the funniest things I've ever seen! People and their antics never cease to amaze me. A "race" to the finish "line"... the prize? A cheese wheel. You get to see the winner at the end! On your marks... get set... ROLL!
